Dr. Yamamoto graduated from Rosenberg School of Optometry in 2017 and did her training at Bob Michael VA in Illinois and McWerthy Troop Medical Clinic in Texas, where she focused on emergency care, specialty contact lens, and low vision. She then went on to practice for 2 years in central New Jersey before returning to her hometown in San Antonio. Dr. Yamamoto managed her own clinic where she treated and co-managed glaucoma, cataracts and LASIK surgery. She is now residing in Houston, Texas with her husband and 2 dachshunds. She enjoys practicing yoga, watching K-dramas and anime and trying new restaurants.
